Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-10-12. By using Resist, you agree to these terms.
Service
Resist provides an Android application and related backend services for digital accountability: partner invites, subscription-backed monitoring, and partner alerts. This website (resistapp.in) describes the product and policies; subscriptions are purchased in the Android app. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these Terms.
License
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Resist Android app on devices you own or control, solely for lawful accountability purposes under these Terms. We (and our licensors) retain all intellectual property rights in the app, website, branding, and related materials. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, redistribute, or create derivative works of the software except as Indian law expressly allows.
Eligibility
By creating an account and subscribing, you represent that you can enter a binding contract under Indian law (typically age 18 or older). The app does not collect date of birth or verify age. You are responsible for account accuracy and keeping credentials secure. Parents or guardians may install and configure Resist on a device used by a minor when they have authority to do so.
Device authority & consent
You may use Resist only on devices you own or are lawfully authorised to configure. Where another person uses the device (for example a spouse, child, or roommate), you are responsible for obtaining any consent or other lawful basis required under Indian law before enabling monitoring or partner alerts. Do not install Resist on a workplace or third-party device without proper authority. Misuse (including covert surveillance without a lawful basis) is your responsibility.
Acceptable use
- Do not use Resist to harass, stalk, or surveil someone without their informed consent and lawful basis.
- Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, abuse, or disrupt our systems, or circumvent subscription or security controls.
- Do not use the service for unlawful content or activity.
- Do not create accounts under a false identity to evade these Terms.
Subscription & billing
Paid features (including monitoring) require an active Standard subscription. New subscriptions are for the first 300 users, ₹200/month for the first 2 months, then ₹350/month. Prices may change with notice in the app or on this site. Billing is processed securely in the Android app through our payment partner. Cancel anytime; see our Refund & Cancellation policy.
Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription or stop renewals. You must cancel as described in the Refund & Cancellation policy. Removing Resist, turning monitoring off, or disabling permissions also does not entitle you to a refund for evasion—see that policy.
Updates
The app may update automatically or prompt you to update. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated app under these Terms (and any revised Terms posted on this site).
Alerts, not content blocking
Resist detects flagged activity and notifies partners. It does not block websites or searches, and it does not guarantee that every risky action will be detected. You remain responsible for your own choices and device use.
Not medical or professional advice
Resist is not a medical device, therapy, or clinical treatment, and is not a substitute for professional help.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Resist and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from use of the service. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the three months before the claim.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Resist and its operators from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the service, your breach of these Terms, or your installation or use of Resist on a device without lawful authority or required consent.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or to protect users and the service. You may stop using Resist and cancel your subscription at any time as described in the Refund & Cancellation policy. Provisions on IP, indemnity, disclaimers, liability, and governing law survive termination.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, including applicable provisions of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 where relevant. Courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to applicable consumer protections. (Venue may be refined as the business entity is finalized.)
